O-305 | AHIMT USFA Type 3 Incident Management Team (AHIMT O-305)
This five-day course serves as a team/discipline specific training and basic introduction to the activities and processes of a Type 3 AHIMT.  This course meets the needs of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the National Response Framework (NRF). The O-305 Type 3 AHIMT course focuses on the importance of developing and operating as a functional USFA Type 3 AHIMT.   This Course covers the following topics:

Introduction to IMT Training Foundation
Command and General Staff functions
Incident Management Team dynamics
Unified Command and Major Incident Management
Deployment Factors
Transfer of Command and Integration with Local Jurisdiction

NIMS/ICS All-Hazard Position Specific Courses (Discipline Specific or Regionally Specific)

These courses are full FEMA/EMI certification courses in which participants will be issued a certificate from the Emergency Management Institute.  The courses provide advanced level training needed by personnel responsible for managing incidents of greater complexity than those typically encountered during routine operations. This training is designed to provide all-hazards competencies and behaviors for Command and General Staff and selected Unit Leader positions within a Type III and/or Type IV Incident Management Team (IMT) environment. Competencies in the training are focused around the ability of the student to assume specific position responsibilities, lead assigned personnel, communicate effectively, and to ensure the completion of assigned tasks in order to meet identified objectives for the position.  EDPS can customize these courses based on requirements set forth by the customer and still meet the requirements for the FEMA guidelines.  These courses can be delivered with a focus on a certain discipline if requested.  The following is a list of courses that are offered:

E0986: NIMS ICS All-Hazards Air Support Group Supervisor
The Air Support Group Supervisor (ASGS) course is intended to provide local- and state-level emergency responders with an overview of key duties and responsibilities of an ASGS in a Type 3 All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT). 

E0987: NIMS ICS All-Hazards Introduction to Air Operations
This course is intended to familiarize participants with the basic concepts of air operations as associated with deployment through the Air Operations Branch of an Incident Management Team (IMT) and/or through the NIMS/ICS system.

NIMS/ICS All-Hazard Position Specific Overview Courses
The NIMS All-Hazards ICS Position Specific Overview Courses are eight (8) hour courses that provide information to participants about the specific position that is being presented.  The participants will be introduced to the responsibilities and tasks associated with the position from an All-Hazards perspective.  During the presentation, the participants will also be introduced to the ICS Forms that are the responsibility of position being presented to complete during an event and how the relate to the position.  The courses also include short exercises and case studies that are discipline specific for the audience to reinforce the content being presented.  The class will end with a final exercise and quiz for all participants.  As an added value, the participants will be provided a resource file that includes items that are helpful during a response.   This course is not a FEMA/EMI Certification course.
